Billy Blue's with Cisco CallManager 5.x/6.x Configuration

On the CallManager 5.x/6.x:

  • Select System->Service Parameters, CallManager service
  • Set the 'CDR Enable Flag' to TRUE

  • Select Navigation->Cisco Unified CallManager Serviceability
  • Select Tools->CDR Management

  • Select Add new from Billing Application Server Parameters
  • Insert the name/IP address of BillyBlues machine with following parameters:
    • username: anonymous
    • password: billyblues
    • directory path: /billyblues/

You also need to configure the Microsoft FTP Server on BillyBlues machine (not on CallManager) for CDR to be acquired from CallManager:

  • Click on Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs
  • Select Add/Remove Windows Components
  • Select Internet Information Services (IIS)

  • Select File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Service and click OK

  • Click on Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> Internet Information Services
  • Select FTP Site folder, Right Mouse Key and select New->Virtual Directory

  • Set BillyBlues as Alias
  • Set the ccm5cdr/ccm6cdr folder as path, depending on where you installed BillyBlues
  • Give Read/Write permissions

 

 

Billy Blue's with Cisco CallManager 4.x Configuration

On the CallManager 4.x:

  • Select Service Parameters, CallManager service
  • Set the 'CDR Enable Flag' to TRUE

  • Select Enterprise Parameters
  • SET "CDRs will be kept in flat files" option for CDR Format*

Billy Blue's Installation

Please run the BillyBlues package to properly install files and directories.

Select "30-days trial version" or Full version if you already have a serial number (license).


At the end of installation click on Finish and double check the "Run PBX connection wizard" is flagged.

The database connection wizard will appear. Here please specify the name of the machine running the SQL database if running on another machine, or just credential if running on the same.

If you have no SQL database, you can simply download and install MSDE (free SQL server version) for testing purpose:

  • Download MSDE
  • Execute the setup. When asked for a directory for the installation files, specify "C:\MSDERelA"
  • Click on the "Run..." option in the Start menu
  • Copy the following command and click ok:
    C:\MSDERelA\setup.exe SECURITYMODE=SQL SAPWD=SvBillyBlues DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=0
  • Select Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> Services and START the MSSQLServer

This will install a MSDE instance on the same machine with username: sa and passoword: SvBillyBlues

Now you can click the "Configure Database" button to create database and continue.

After database creation, you have to configure the list of voice-gateway on your CallManager environment.
Each voice-gateway is considered a different site, so you need a license site for each voice-gateway in your CallManager network.

Specify the voice-gateway description and the IP address as configured in the CallManager.

For CCM5.x/CCM6.x:

  • leave Data path as suggested
  • if dial out code (ex: 0) is used to get PSTN lines, please specify.

For CCM4.x:

  • change Data path to \\CCM_SV\CDR where CCM_SV is the CallManager DNS name
  • set username and password of a local user on CCM windows machine to access that folder
  • if dial out code (ex: 0) is used to get PSTN lines, please specify.

Save and select "Start acquisition as a service" on the next form.

For CCM4.x only:

  • click on Advanced button
  • Select Run as "Network User"
  • set local administrator username and password
  • specify the name of the machine in the Domain text box

Click OK button.
End of session for CCM4.x only.

Click on Finish button.

Now you need to run the guided configuration through the link:
Start -> Stonevoice Billy Blues -> Tools-> Billy Blue's Guided Configuration

This tool will automatically configure the site you added (GW-MILANO)
Click on next to get access to the local area configuration :

Click on next to get access to default tariff configuration:

Please select one of available carrier to already benefit or preloaded tariff.
You can anytime access to tariff configuration/modification.

Click on Finish. You have now finished the basic configuration and you can start using BillyBlues.

You can Continue with the configuration and normal use of BillyBlues or open a sample archive with test data to see DEMO statistics.

By default the administrator user is admin and the administrator password is 'admin'.

The user restrictions can be then changed in the user manager windows. See User manager for further information.

After entering the password, an option allows to skip password request and always use the same user name and password for accessing the software. Another option in the software settings restores the password request. See Software options  for details.

The first start configuration begins after the user login.

Software first page

The possible settings decides the software starting page (upper bar buttons). Choosing 'last consulted page' the program starts with the last visited panel before closing the software (eg. The phone book or real time monitor).

 
 

Statistic logo

The software adds a logo (the Stonevoice logo is added by default) in the upper right area of the each statistic page.

 
 

Statistics and alarms by email

Activating this feature, the software starts the Billy Blue's Scheduler program that produces and emails scheduled statistics and alarms. The Scheduling and alarms creates and exports or emails statistics and alarms. This option requires a mail server specification for data to be sent (SMTP server).

 
 

Default alarms and statistics

The software is provided with a number of default check ups that can be scheduled with this option.

 

The next page configures the Call monitor. Default profiles are available for setting up the monitor panel content, according to the description criteria. Eg. the ‘cost and call analysis’ sets up 4 panels that measure the cost trend and call quantity, whereas the ‘Answer efficiency’ provides the information concerning the ring time of the company incoming calls.

Choosing the manual option (configure the monitor manually) offers the choice of deciding the number of panels to be displayed and their content. See the Call Monitor page for further details.

Just click on Next to keep default monitor.

Latest step is set the call processor (Miner) and scheduler (Scheduler) run as service so you can log off the machine and all BillyBlues services still running:

Billy Blue's Configure more sites

To configure more sites (that is voice-gateways), you need to run the PBX connection through the link:
Start -> Stonevoice Billy Blues -> PBX Connection -> PBX Connection

Select New PBX button to add a new site (voice-gateway):

Specify the new gateway parameters as in the previous step where you configured the first one.

Each site must be registered by clicking on register button, please refer to Registration section.

To have the site correctly parsing CDR, please run:
Start -> Stonevoice Billy Blues -> Tools -> BillyBlue's Setup

Username and Password required (default: admin, admin)

The configuration of each site starts from the carrier you would like to use for billing (Ex: your carrier where you defined your group and tariffs).
If you are interested in billing (costs) of each site you are configuring and you have a site with same carrier but different local tariff, you just need to click on Duplicated button to duplicate the tariff.

Then on the duplicated carrier, please click on modify button to modify the tariff for it:

To change the local tariff please click on Option button and select the local destination and currency.

Then select the Sites tab and click on the Load Sites button:

File selection form appear, please go under BluesRecPro folder and select BluesRec.ini file

Now please modify the site added to apply the correct driver:

Select Change and then select the Cisco driver:

Select the Importation Tab to set the frequency for importation.



Select the Carrier Tab to set the tarrifs from the available ones. Press Add button there:

Then select the carrier for this site and select all available tariff and press ok.

Configuration is completed for additiona sites too.

Remote Management: Billy Blue's Client installation

Billy Blue's interface for statistics and monitoring could be access remotely by installing the network client on the remote pc trhough the Billy Blues installation package:

At the end of installation the database connection wizard will appear. Here please specify the name of the machine running the SQL database you installed for BillyBlues.

Now you can click the "Configure Database" button to connect to database and being able to access BillyBlues statistics and real time monitor.
