Company data: Tables and Filters

The Tables and filters are the most advanced tools of the software. Their use is recommended only if strictly necessary or if certain data cannot be found in any other way.

The tables:

If the user is an administrator, then this area shows all the tables used by the software, such as the call table, the extension table, the phone book table and many other. Change these data only if strictly necessary. Usually, the access to these tables can be useful for searching calls using filters directly on the call table.

Feature description:

 

Update

Refreshes the data in the displayed table without removing the filter in use

 

Modify

Enables the modification to the table for adding new lines or new data.

 

Adjust columns  

Widens or shrinks the columns automatically according to their content.

 

Az Za

Sets an alphabetical order (ascending or descending)

 

Find and replace

Search feature for the selected column. Also replaces existing values with specified ones.

 

Print/Export

Prints out the current view of the table or exports them into excel, CSV or text format. This feature first displays a print preview of the table. This page preview can be then setup, printed out or exported.


Right click commands:

Clicking the mouse right button directly on a field of the table displays the following menu:

 

Filter for selection

Displays only those values identical to the selected one. If the first part of the mouse is selected, the filter will be a ‘starts with…’ filter; if the end part is selected, the filter will be of ‘ends with’ type; if the central part of the value is selected, the filter will be a ‘contains’ filter.

 

Filter for exclusion

Same and opposite of the above mentioned filter.

 

Cancel filter selection

Removes any filter. Filters can also be combined for more restrictions.

 

Ascending order

Gives an ascending order to the selected column

 

Descending order

Gives a descending order to the selected column

 

Rename column

Changes the name of the selected column

 

Hide column

Hides the selected column. Se the next feature for displaying the column again

 

Show column...

Displays all the selected columns of the table



Unselected tables will not be displayed.

 

Find and replace...

Same command as described earlier in this chapter

Filters:

The filters are a search tool alongside with the filter for selection tools that perform searches directly onto the tables and offer easier features and can be used to run a report only to a filtered part of calls.

For Call, Phone book and Extension tables, guided areas are displayed for easily building new filters.

The Request option adds this selection to the table on the results (or directly onto the statistic) in order to make it easier to change the value for or automatic quicker actions.



In this case, the enabled option shows the date request:

Advanced filter:

Selection the Advanced icon on the left list, an SQL query can be entered directly in the dialog box. This feature is recommended only to advanced Access or SQL users.

Exportation and importation of the filters:

As for the statistics, also the filters can be exported and/or imported in the software. In this case the filters are xml files stored in the Filters subfolder that will contain filters named after those filters displayed in the software.
